Reflection Prompt:Summarize your learning for this term. How will you use the knowledge you have constructed to improve your use of technology for learning in your class and for your own personal and professional development?
Description: Learning about TPACK was major. As a seasoned teacher, I am well aware of my content and pedagigical style for all types of learners. Technology (web tools, internet software and databases) still remains a tool for getting information quicker and better to accommodate my teachers and students needs. I still must model how to use technology to my learners and guide them through the process of using technology in a safe, efficient and effective way. A lot of attributes work together to be successful as an online learner and teacher. It is a necessity to master these attributes to become an effective and efficient teacher in order to prepare students of the 21st Century. However, it can be done. It is a process, whereby, ISTE NETS standards may be used as a guide to teaching, learning, and facilitating the technological environment to keep everyone on track.
Impact: I have to stay current with technology. I have joined forums and blogs to help keep me current with technology and web tools, and to share experiences with the use of technology with people in my profession. I will continue to educate myself as technology environments grow and change.
Intent: Everything I have learned I will share with my colleagues. I am working on a website teachers of my school may access to learn about online productivity tools, assessment tools, and teaching tools to share with their students. Technology is in a constant flux, so I will encourage my teachers to join blogs and forums, and I will provide an information sharing link on my website for external and internal use for my school.
